Optimal system design
Ecovolt created the system design for the 10 kV cable connection between the Dale substation and the purchasing station near Aalten for MUG engineering firm. In this study, it was calculated in accordance with IEC 60287 and IEC 60909 whether the cable connection meets the requirements of Liander.
Load capacity calculations
New calculations are required for a new cable connection. The minimum conductor cross-section can be determined based on load capacity IEC 60287 or IEC 60853 and short-circuit resistance IEC 60909. In addition, the optimal conductor cross-section can also be calculated based on the net present value calculation. The investment costs and electrical cable losses of the new cable connection are taken into account.
We make the connection
Ecovolt is fully familiar with the above standard and can calculate the required conductor cross-section for cable connections. The cable design is explained in a clear report in which, based on the different location configurations of a cable connection, it is determined which cable types meet the requirements for load capacity and short-circuit resistance.
The calculations are performed with the simulation program Vision Cable Analysis or CYMCAP.
