Safety is important in high and medium voltage infrastructure! Ecovolt therefore carried out an Insulation Coordination Study to determine the overvoltage arresters for a new power transformer of 220MVA 110/33kV.

In accordance with the applicable IEC standards, Ecovolt has carried out all necessary calculations and simulations to recommend the correct surge arrester for this project.

What is an Insulation Coordination Study?
In an Insulation Coordination Study, we analyze electrical energy systems in order to calculate the requirements that all components within the system must meet in order to be adequately protected against overvoltages and flashovers. We determine the exact correct insulation and protection levels for different parts of the system so that they can withstand the stresses they may be exposed to during normal operating conditions and in the event of faults. With such a study we are working on a safe high and medium voltage infrastructure for our customers.
